Sokoto, April 15, 2019 The Commissioner of Police in Sokoto State, Mr Ibrahim Koaje, has charged newly promoted officers to scale up their commitment to their work.
Kaoje gave the charge in Sokoto on Monday while decorating 83 officers of the police command in the state with their new ranks.
Kaoje challenged the newly promoted officers to live up to expectations and be dedicated to service to the fatherland.
He said that the exercise was to motivate the officers and to appreciate their hard work and commitment to service.
He said that 65 officers were promoted from the rank of Inspector to Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), 11 from ASP to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), and seven from DSP to Superintendent of Police (SP).
The commissioner urged them to justify their new ranks by ensuring discipline among junior officers under their control for efficient service delivery.
Kaoje said that the command was fully in control of security situation in selected local government areas in the state.
He said that measures had been taken to tackle banditry and other crimes in the state.
Responding on behalf of the promoted officers, SP Baba Sale-Alkali, commended the police management for the promotion and urged decorated officers to justify the promotion by scaling up their commitment to work.
