Kano April 16, 2019 The Centre for Information and Technology Development (CITAD), has cautioned politicians against having multiple Face book accounts.
Malam Hamza Ibrahim, the Programme Officer of the Centre, gave the caution on Tuesday at a news conference in kano.
He said research conducted by the centre before and after the 2019 general elections has shown increase in the rate at which governors’ Face book accounts were being faked.
The centre however urged politicians to be wary of the possible dangers of having multiple social media accounts and urged them to minimise them.
It also urged them to entrust the management of their social media profiles, to individuals who are equipped with safety and security online tips.
