The National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) has expressed appreciation to the Nigerian Army for the assistance it enjoyed during the recently concluded orientation camp activities.
Mr Kehinde Aremu, Coordinator of the NYSC in Anambra, expressed the appreciation when he visited Col. A.Y. Bwala, the Commander 302 Artillery Regiments and General Support, Onitsha.
A statement by Mrs Anuli Molukwu, Public Relations Officer of NYSC said on Thursday in Awka that Aremu emphasised that the visit would further improve the relationship between the scheme and the army.
He described the conduct of the soldiers who worked with NYSC’s officials on camp as highly commendable and asked for greater support in the future.
“We are in your office to express management’s appreciation for the assistance rendered by the camp commandant and his team during the just-concluded orientation course.
“I want to say that the performance of your men was excellent and I also want to appeal that you oblige us their services in the future,” he said.
Responding, Bwala pledged the support of his command toward the actualisation of the objectives of NYSC in Anambra.
The commander, who was impressed by the commendation given by the NYSC Camp Commandant and his team, said nothing less was expected of them given the discipline in the system.
He assured the NYSC coordinator of his command’s readiness to render inter-agency assistance and collaboration whenever they were called upon to do so.
