The Buhari Media Organisation (BMO) has commended the management of Nigeria News Agency for disseminating the organisation’s information towards advancing the image and principle of the President Muhammadu Buhari led-administration.

BMO Chairman, Mr Niyi Akinsiju, made the commendation on Thursday when he led a delegation on a courtesy visit to the Corporate Headquarters of NAN in Abuja.

“Thankfully, with your support and help, we will be able to also graduate our task so much that people recognised it as National focus contribution in advancing the image and principle Mr President stands for.’’

Akinsiju also called for collaboration between BMO and NAN to further achieve the organisation’s mandate, which primarily aimed at amplifying feats of the All Progressives Congress (APC) led-administration.

According to him, the mandate is aimed at reacting and correcting some media statements put out of context by some media organisations and social media.

Akinsiju said the formation of BMO was derived from the Media Committee of Presidential Campaign team of 2015 general elections.

“We are Media Committee of Presidential Campaign team of 2015 general elections. After the election, we thought that we should by way of volunteered still continue with what we did during the campaign,’’ he said.

Responding, Alhaji Ibrahim Mammaga, NAN Acting Managing Director and Editor-in- Chief, thanked the management of BMO for finding time to visit the agency.

Mammaga told the BMO team that the agency had expanded its scope of services by operating multi-media.

According to him, the agency has migrated from sending only text and photo to include audio and video to its subscribers.

The acting managing director, who assured BMO of collaboration and support, urged the organisation to ensure that the content of its press statements are always balanced and meet with the agency’s standard.
