A businessman, Mr Joseph Umama, on Thursday dragged one Mr Aweleke Abdulkadir, his customer to a Sharia court ll sitting at Magajin Gari, Kaduna over alleged cheating and breach of trust.

The complainant, a resident of Kaduna metropolis told the court that he sold a Panasonic Air Conditioner model to Abdulkadir in September 2017 at the rate of N60,000 with the agreement that he would pay the money in one week.

“We have done business before, so I trusted him but he failed to pay for the item after the one week he promised saying that a technician had told him that the air conditioner is faulty.

“I met the technician, he told me that Abdulkadir asked him to tell me that the air conditioner is not working when ever we meet.

“I took him to Magajin Gari police division and he paid N10,000 out of the amount and since then he has not paid me any other money again, i reported him to several authorities but to no avail,” he said.

He prayed the court to intervene into the matter and get him justice.

In his defence, the defendant denied the claim saying that he only owe N30,000.
