Businesswoman drags partner to court over alleged breach of trust

A businesswoman Muhibbat Ibrahim, on Wednesday dragged her business partner Ibrahim Musa, to a Sharia Court at Magajin Gari, Kaduna, over alleged breach of trust.

Ibrahim, a resident of Kabala-West area of Kaduna, told the court that she had given Musa N200, 000 to start up a ram business for her, with the agreement that the profit would be shared equally between them.

“Ever since I gave him the money, I did not hear anything tangible from him because there is neither ram, nor money,” she said.

She therefore urged the court to intervene in the matter and grant her justice.

However, Musa, who resides at Tudun Wada area of Kaduna, denied the claim by the complainant, describing it as false.

The Judge, Malam Muhammad Shehu-Adamu, after listening to both parties, asked the complainant if she had any witnesses and she answered in the affirmative.

Shehu-Adamu then ordered the complainant to present her witnesses in court, and adjourned the case until Sept. 18.
