Cleric urges FG to redouble effort in tackling insecurity
Prophet Isa El-Buba, the General Overseer of Ebomi Ministry, has urged the Federal Government to redouble efforts in tackling all forms of insecurity in the country.
El-Buba, who gave the advice in a chat with newsmen on Wednesday in Jos, decried the spate of banditry, kidnapping, herdsmen attacks and communal clashes in various parts of the country.
He called on President Muhammadu Buhari to review his security architecture and bring in capable hands that would provide urgent solution to the insecurity in the country.
He said that government must intensify efforts in addressing the scourge, adding that the current fight against insurgency in the north east must also be intensified and won.
“I am deeply pained by the spate of insecurity in this country. I am not happy with the way innocent Nigerians are being killed on daily basis.
“The security situation in this country is something that is alarming. Today, you cannot travel freely on our roads because of kidnappers.
El-Buba said that as a responsible Nigerian, he was duty bound to advise the government to save the nation from its security challenges.
”There is need for government to work assiduously in bringing healing to the land,” he said.
