Cleric urges Muslims to imbibe habit of sacrifice, good morals

‎ Malam Alkasim Zakaria, Imam of Jigirya Mosque, Kano, has advised Muslims to imbibe the habit of sacrifice and good morals in the society.

The cleric gave the advice during a Friday sermon at Jigirya mosque in Nassarawa local government of Kano state.

The Islamic scholar encouraged adherent of Islam to remain persistent in standing for the truth, no matter the cost.

‎Zakaria urged Muslims to learn from the struggle encounter by Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and always put their trust before Allah.

The Islamic scholar also urged Muslims not to restrict kindness to fellow Muslims, and should rather extend that to non-Muslims if they were to be true believers.

“Muslims are expected to be kind to both Muslims and non-Muslims alike.

“Widows and orphans should be assisted irrespective of their religious beliefs. Muslims are expected to be of best moral conduct,” he said.‎

The Imam then called on Nigerians to continue to pray for peace, stability, harmony and progress in the country.
