Abakaliki, May 18, 2019 The Ebonyi Government has begun the scrutiny of organisations with business and related interests, to check the financial exploitation of its citizens.

Mr Uchenna Orji, the Commissioner for Human Capital Development and Monitoring, disclosed this on Saturday in Abakaliki while declaring open an empowerment training.

It was organised by a multi Level marketing organisation, Super Life Nigeria Limited.

Orji noted that henceforth, all organisations with financial and related interests must seek and obtain permission from the ministry to organise trainings, workshops and related economic and social activities.

“I am here to ascertain whether this organisation met the requirements for such training as stipulated by the ministry as the government will not allow the financial exploitation of its citizens by organisations.

“Concerned organisations should ensure that the state government is aware of its activities and certify that such activities are carried out,” he said.

The commissioner said henceforth, such organisations must register with the ministry and pay an annual fee of N20, 000 directly to the state Ministry of Finance.

“You must provide us with a comprehensive profile of your organisation and how your programme can impact on the economic and social wellbeing of our people.

“I can attest that this organisation has met such requirements and I enjoin the participants to take the training seriously to maximise its benefits,” he said.

He noted that the state government, throug the ministry, sought to enhance the development of its citizens to achieve the desired economic development.

“A country or state might experience economic growth but when the per-capital income of its citizens is low, they cannot sustain themselves financially among other indices, such has not attained economic development.

“This goes beyond offering financial empowerment to the citizens but ensuring that they are trained and retrained, determining the type of nutrition children receive in schools among others,” he said.

Mr Charles Chima, Chairman of the Super Life Limited, said the company used products based on plant stem cell evolution to empower the people and solve heath problems.

“Plants stem cell-based products are evolutions that have proven successful in the treatment of health challenges more than those of the animal stem-cell.

“The body fights products from animal stem cells but research has shown that that it cannot fight those from plant stem-cell because plant is the food of the cell.

“Plant stem-cell products have the capacity to create or duplicate new cells in the body and whatever can create new cells, can cure ailments,” he said.

He said the training would enlighten the citizens on ways of empowering themselves financially and otherwise as the company had various financial incentives for the citizens.

Mrs Adaora Okoh, a participant at the programme, said she would judiciously utilise the knowledge garnered from the training to empower herself financially.
