The Chairman House Committee on Health and Human Services, Mrs Teju Okuyiga, made the call on Tuesday in Ado-Ekiti during an oversight visit to the Health Institutions and agencies in Ekiti.
Okuyiga said to achieve success in health care delivery to the people, there was need for the health workers to cooperate with the governor.
The committee chairman urged the management of the health institutions to be alive to their responsibilities.
She called on the workers to uphold the ethics of their profession towards achieving an enviable standard in health care services to the people.
Okuyiga, however, assured management of the various health institutions visited, of government ‘s commitment to making Ekiti a medical tourist centre in the country.
She added that the House would continue to support the health workers towards realising the health objectives.
Earlier, the Chief Medical Director of the Ekiti University Teaching Hospital, Prof. Kayode Olabanji, thanked the state government for the success recorded in the areas of accreditation of courses of the institution.
“I want to use this opportunity to thank Fayemi for the success recorded in accreditation of our courses.
“We also appreciate the present government for providing the necessary support towards making the State Teaching Hospital one of the best in the country,” he said.
In her response, the Permanent Secretary, Primary Health Care Development Agency, Mrs Olabisi Arogundade, solicited the support of the lawmakers through adequate budgetary allocation.
