Mr. Audu Madaki, Commissioner of Police in Adamawa told the News Agency of Nigeria ( NNN) on Thursday in Yola.

He addes that the police and other sister agencies were fully prepared for the conduct of the elections.

“ So far the command had deployed about 3,500 police officers across the state to man all polling units and INEC staff and facilities.

“And additional 2,000 police officers are on stand by to compliment and support the efforts of the officers on elections duties,’’ Madaki said.

He, however, warned against thuggery and political violence.

“No genuine and reasonable voter would snatch billot box during election, only a criminal would do that and anyone caught in billot box snatching will be treated as a  criminal,’’ Madaki said.

He said the command would continue to intensify security patrol to checkmate post-election violence.( NNN)
