Osogbo, Feb. 20, 2018 Mr Tunde Olatunji, a member of Osun House of Assembly,  has advised the electorate and other political stakeholders to be calm during Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly elections.

Olatunji, (APC-Ife North), in a statement in Osogbo on Wednesday, advised the electorate to keep faith with the electoral process and be patriotic while exercising their civic duty during the elections.

The lawmaker appealed to Nigerians not to sacrifice their future and their children’s future for immediate gratifications.

He also urged them, especially youths, to shun all forms of electoral vices capable of disrupting the peace and harmony of the country.

‘‘Election is not a do or die process. It is instructive for all candidates to always admit that democracy centres around the people.

‘‘If the people want you, they will vote for you and if it is otherwise, so be it.

‘‘It is not for any candidate or political party to be terrorising the people they claim to serve,’’ Olatunji said.

Olatunji, who is also APC candidate for State Assembly, advised voters to come out en mass and vote for President Muhammadu Buhari and all APC candidates during the elections.

‘‘For the sustainable development of our dear country and quality representations at the parliament, it is extremely important for all eligible voters to come out in large numbers and vote for the right candidates and party.

‘‘Our party (APC) is irrevocably committed to the greatness of Nigeria,’’ he said.
