A former Commissioner in Nassarawa state, Mrs Mary Enwongulu, has congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari over his recent victory at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, Abuja.

Enwongulu, in an interview with the Nigeria News Agency on Thursday in Akwanga, however called on the president to work hard and ensure the creation of more jobs to tackle youth restiveness.

She said: “The victory of President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal is a victory for democracy.

“I am happy over the judgment as it has affirmed the earlier victory of the president at the March polls in which Nigerians voted him for second term in office.

“The president has done a lot, especially in the area of fighting corruption and is still doing his best toward improving the wellbeing of the people.

“We believe that the president will use his victory to consolidate on his achievements recorded so far and to do more.

“This he can do by creating more job opportunities and other empowerment programmes for the women, youths and other Nigerians in order to stem insecurity in the country.

“Doing that will also go a long way in checkmating kidnapping, armed robbery, bandits among other negative acts in the country.”

She assured the president of her continued commitment to mobilise Nigerians for the success of APC in future elections.

She also appealed to the people of the state to live in peace with one another and respect constituted authorities.
