The FCT Football Association Chairman, Mr Adam Mohammed, on Thursday urged the new Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare, to pay attention to sports facilities in the country.
Dare, who replaces Solomon Dalung, was appointed alongside 42 others to ministerial positions by President Muhammadu Buhari.
“He is competent enough and I think he will be able to handle all challenges as well as present a good blue print for sports development.
”We expect him to give attention to all sports and focus on the dwindling state of facilities especially the MKO Abiola stadium and the Teslim Balogun stadium.
“With the bidding for the FIFA U-20 Women World Cup in mind, these facilities should be top priority for our new minister,“he said.
Dare, who hails from Oyo, is a journalist and a former executive commissioner of the Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC).
