Fire Service stopped inferno at Lagos hotel car park

The Lagos State Fire Service (LSFS) on Friday said it successfully put out the inferno involving some vehicles parked at the premises of Lagos Airport Hotel, Ikeja.

The Head of Public Affairs Unit of LSFS, Mr Jamiu Dosumu, said in a statement to newsmen in Lagos, that the cause of the fire was still unknown.

He said that the details on the cause of the outbreak would be made known after a thorough investigation.

However, Dosumu said that the fire service deployed firefighters to the hotel immediately the incidence occurred to put off the fire.

“We are happy that the firefighters successfully put out the fire on time,” he said.

NAN reports that fire suddenly broke out at the hotel’s car park very late in the evening on April 9.

The hotel is owned by Southwest Regional Conglomerate, Odu’a Investment Company Ltd.
