The prosecutor, Ayotunde Adeyanju, told the court that the age of the defendants ranged from 22 to 28 years.

He said that they were arrested on Jan. 12 by a team of policemen, led by one Insp. Peter Ajau, attached to the surveillance unit of Karu police station.

He said that they could not give satisfactory account of themselves during investigation.

The prosecutor said that the offence contravened Sections 132 of the Penal Code.

The judge, Abdullahi Jibrin, granted the defendants bail in the sum of N50, 000 each, with one surety each in like sum.

He, thereafter, adjourned the case till Feb. 10 for hearing.
