The Federal Roads Safety Corps  (FRSC), Plateau Zonal Command, has urged the 174 newly-promoted officers and marshals in the zone to work harder to ensure sanity on the state’s  roads.

FRSC Zonal Commanding Officer Zone 4 Headquarters Jos, Assistant Corps Commander Abayomi Omiyale, gave the charge on Thursday in Jos at the decoration of the promoted personnel.

He said promotions came with greater responsibilities, saying that the elevated personnel must, therefore, brace up for the challenges of making the country’s road safe for users.

He warned  that the corps would not tolerate any act that would tarnish the hard-earned image of the establishment.

“You must correct, educate and reprimand your subordinates to get them to do the right things.

“In discharging your new responsibilities, let your conscience be your guide, let your creator be your judge.

“If you are not God fearing, there will come a time that God will tell you that He is the one that decides who moves forward,’’the zonal commanding officer said.

Acting Sector Command, Plateau Command, Deputy Corps Commander, Ibrahim Shadow, urged the personnel to use their new positions to make FRSC proud.

“Remember we are in a digital age, and as you go out, remember the world is watching your activities.

“You are the image of FRSC and as you go out to work, keep that at the back of your minds,’’ Shadow said.

He said the all personnel must uphold the ethics of the corps in the discharge of their responsibilities.

Nigeria News Agency reports that out of the 174 promoted from Zone 4 headquarters and Plateau sector command and its component units, 54 were officers while 118 were marshals.
