GPN and its candidate, Mr Isa-Suleiman Aminu, told the tribunal their party logo was ommitted on the ballot paper used for the conduct of the election and that it became necessary foe INEC to conduct a fresh election.
Aminu dragged Mr Zakariyau Galadima, the member elect on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the election held on Feb. 23.
Other respondents in the petition are the APC and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) respectively.
Aminu said that INEC was aware of this ommission but it went ahead to release the result of the election as contained in form EC811 which returned Galadima.
The petitioner said that by the virtue of this ommission of his party logo in the ballot paper, the election conducted in that constituency is rendered null and void.
He told the tribunal that he was validly nomited to contest the election by party chairman and members.
Justice Susan Oji, chairman of the three-man panel for the tribunal adjourned further hearing until June 15 for the petitioner to produce his witnesses.
