The Computer Village hub (Cvhub) for Africa said on Friday it was organising a free training on automation of healthcare processes for medical practitioners.

Mr Austin Agbakor, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Cvhub for Africa, told Nigeria News Agency in Lagos that the training was to upgrade healthcare practitioners on the automation of the medical processes.

Agbakor said free healthcare automation training had become imperative in view of the fact that the processes of healthcare services in most hospitals were not automated.

According to him, automating healthcare processes would reduce the clumsiness in the medical records of patients as well as improve productivity.

“The free training will help reduce patients waiting time, increase revenue and expose them to the 21st century healthcare data management technique.

”It will also provide healthcare practitioners opportunity to learn how the healthcare industry interconnects through technology and help manage staff members better,” he said.

Agbakor said that the training would also improve hospital or healthcare facility brand as well as practitioners introduced to modern healthcare concepts such as ICD10 coding and health insurance concepts.

He said that at the end of the training, participants would receive one month free access to healthcare Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.

The CEO said that the training would be on healthcare automation, healthcare Insurance automation, Inter Departmental connectivity and data exchange, Customer Relationship Models and Solutions among others for beginners.

He added that the advance session training would include Hospital Management, Data Workflow and methodologies for increased revenue.

NAN reports the training would begin on Feb. 3, at the Computer Village hub in Ikeja with the theme: Employing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) concept in healthcare management.
