Idara, Peter qualify for Miss/Mr Africa International Pageant

 Idara Dennis, Current Miss Nigeria International and Peter Abah (Mr Nigeria International) have qualified for Miss and Mr Africa International pageant respectively, following their endorsed pet projects.


Bredan Isikak, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Brendance and Crusader Limited told the Nigeria News Agency that Idara and Abah were endorsed because they performed well in their pet projects.

He said their outstanding performances qualified them to be endorsed to register for MMAI.

Brendan said, “It is expected of Mr and Miss Nigeria International to execute a major project which they have done individually under our watchful eyes.

“We have assessed them, scored them and pronounced that they are now qualified for the MMAI which is coming up in October,” he told NAN.

He also said that seven countries have confirmed participation in the ongoing registration for the MMIA which would come up October 3 in Muson Center, Lagos.

The Brendance and Crusader CEO added that Idara and Abah have registered and would also feature in the 2020/2021 edition of MMNI which six countries have registered their participation.

Meanwhile, Idara who spoke to NAN on her pet project tagged, “Feeding the Elderly” said packaged food items were distributed to 100 old people in Orangan village, Osun State.

She said that the project, which was held on March 7, recorded good turnout which gave her an opportunity to fulfill commitment made when she emerged winner of the pageant for 2019/2020.

“There were other options for me to choose as a pet project but the inspiration of feeding the elderly came to my mind, although I have always liked old people.

“It was a great event being with these old Papa’s and Mama’s, particularly distributing packages of food items to them and I feel so happy doing it.

“My greatest joy is that I got the approval and blessings of the Kabiyesi, Oba Abdulwahab Oyedotun, the Orangun of  Illa-Orengun.

“The monarch provided the hall in the palace where the old people gathered to get their food item packs,” she said.

The University of Ile-Ife international Relations undergraduate said that the beneficiaries and indigenes of Ila Orangan village in osun state were also pleased with the initiative.

“The old people in the community gathered and as I was distributing the items, they prayed and blessed me, I got emotional at the impact on them,” she added.

“Having successfully completed the pet project, necessary preparations for the MMIA tagged, ‘The Rebirth’ commences in earnest toward my win the crown target,’’ Idara said.
