An industrialist and politician, Mr Godwin Ezeemo, on Wednesday enjoined wealthy Nigerians to emulate the recent patriotic gesture of the Chairman of Air Peace, Mr Allen Onyema.
According to him, Onyema’s support to Federal Government’s effort at providing succour to its citizens in South Africa is a rare demonstration of patriotism.
“ Nigerian nation is an indivisible entity, we must in our own various points ensure that the love of our nation supersedes ethnic interest at all time,” he said .
‘’ This is no small gesture and it would prove to the world that Nigerians are their brother’s keepers. We can now see that any Nigerian that is hurt anywhere in the world also affects others back home.
“Nigerian is a great nation. These Nigerians can now come home and try their hands on other business to sustain themselves; there is no place like home,” he said
Ezeemo commended Onyema for freely supporting the Federal Government in the evacuation of 640 Nigerians from South Africa in his Boeing 777.
He enjoined the first batch of Nigerians that had returned from South Africa not to be discouraged, but to give glory to God for saving them from the racists.
Ezeemo urged the Federal Government to urgently introduce a rehabilitation and social integration system that would absorb the evacuated Nigerians.
He also called on political office holders to develop policies that ensure that all young Nigerians were gainfully employed.
