Kafanchan (Kaduna State) 21, 2019 (NNN) The Interim Management Committee of Jaba Local Government in Kaduna State has assured of speedy completion of ongoing renovation of the council secretariat and other infrastructure in the area.
Hajiya Hadiza Usman Mu’azu, the Chairperson of the council, gave the assurance on Monday during a routine inspection of the premises of the council secretariat and other sites in the local government area.
He said the state government, under the leadership of Gov. Nasir El-Rufa’I, was determined to deliver on its promises, especially on infrastructure and human capital development.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NNN) recalled that the Kaduna State Government said it spent N889.3 million on contracts awarded between 2015 and 2017 in Jaba Local Government area.
“The morale of staff at the local government is of top-most priority. As such, we want to create a modest and conducive working environment for our staff.
“In addition to other completed projects across the local government, our contractors have since been mobilised to start and conclude the second and third phases of renovation at the council secretariat,” she said.
The chairperson assured that other ongoing projects in the local government would be completed soon.
She said that the projects, which included upgrade of the motor park at Kwoi, were making significant progress at the respective sites visited.
Mu’azu urged the contractors not to compromise on standard, but to ensure that the projects were carried out according to their specification. (NNN)
