Lagos, March 15, 2019 A 24-year-old sales representative, Kotun Lamina, was on Friday docked at an Igbosere Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for allegedly stealing his employer’s goods worth N1.8 million.
Lamina, whose address was not given, is standing trial on a charge of stealing.
The Prosecutor, Sgt.Moshood Abiola, told the court that the defendant committed the offence from Jan. 15, 2018 to March 10, this year, at CREA Corporation company, at No. 5B, NAMTL Water Place, Osborne Foreshore Estate, Ikoyi, Lagos.
He said that the defendant stole 850 yards of ‘Atiku Jar Quad’ materials, valued at N1.8 million, belonging to the CREA Corporation company.
Abiola said that the offence contravened Section 287 (8) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Magistrate, Mrs O. O. Otitoju, in her ruling, granted him N100, 000 bail with two sureties in like sum.
She said that one of the sureties should be a blood relation of the defendant and the sureties should show evidence of two years tax payment to the Lagos State Government.
The magistrate adjourned the case until April 1 for mention.
