Kaduna NSCDC commandant tasks operatives on intelligence gathering
The Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Kaduna State, Mr Babangida Dustinma has tasked operatives of the intelligence department of the command to intensify efforts in gathering credible information to tackle security challenges in state.
The commandant stated this while taking over the affairs of the Command from his predecessor, Assistant Commandant General, Modu Bunu on Wednesday in Kaduna.
Dustinma said that intelligence gathering will help in stopping criminals before they unleash terror on the society.
He also called on the public to provide credible information that will help the corps in protecting lives and properties.
Dutsinma promised to leverage on the synergy already established by his predecessor with other security agencies in the state, saying that the collaboration would continue.
He advised under performing officers to brace up or be shown the way out of the service.
Dutsinma commended his predecessor for lifting the Corps to an enviable standard, and promised to sustain the tempo.
In his remarks, Bunu who is now in charge of Operations at the NSCDC Headquarters, thanked officers and men of the command for making his tenure a success.
He also thanked Gov. Nasir El-Rufai for his support to the Command and appealed to him to continue in that spirit with his successor.
The Nigeria News Agency report that the event was graced by heads of all security agencies in the state.
