Kebbi : Cleric urges Muslims to exhibit high sense of maturity in religious obligations

The Chief Imam of Umar bin Khattab Jumma’at mosque Birinin Kebbi, Ustaz Nasidi, has urged  Muslim faithful to exhibit high sense of maturity in their religious obligations to promote peace and tolerance.

Nasidi made the call in Kara, Birini Kebbi, while delivering his Jumma’at sermons on Friday.

“I call on all Muslims to conduct themselves to exhibit Islamic obligations and seek for spiritual forgiveness from Allah against hell fire.

” Muslims should be of good conduct, honesty and desist from unlawful acts and seek for Allah’s forgiveness at all times before death,” he said.

He also called on Muslim Ummahs to obey their leaders and prayed for sustainable peace and stability in the state and the nation in general.

The cleric advised Muslims to be law abiding as well as disregard any act that would tarnish the practice of the religion , saying that Muslims should continue to show love, forgiveness and respect for one another.

He urged Muslim faithful to practice what they preach and allow the Holy book guard whatever they do or say.

“We should promote Muslim religion, traditional and cultural values especially to the children in preference to adopting foreign cultures as well as to ensure proper moral upbringing of our children,” he added.
