Kwara records 2 new cases of COVID-19, total now 87

Two new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in Kwara, bringing the total number in the state to 87 as at Thursday.

Rafiu Ajakaye, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor and spokesman of the Technical Committee on COVID-19, made this known in a statement on Friday.

Ajakaye said total confirmed tests done so far stood at 1, 224, with 1,133 testing negative for COVID-19.

He said that out of the 87 confirmed cases, there were 49 active cases in the state, adding that 37 patients had so far been discharged while one death was recorded in the state.
