Ilorin, April 23, 2019 Alhaji Hammed Olufadi, the Director General (DG), Kwara State Signage and Advertisement Agency (KWASSA), has identified lack of mobility as hindrance to agency’s effort to effectively cover rural areas in the state.

Olufadi disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Ilorin on Tuesday.

He said the agency had been struggling to cope with lack of vehicles in effort to extend its assignments to rural areas in the state.

“KWASSA is ready to work effectively and generate revenue for the state government, if provided with the necessary equipment.

“We need two very sound Pickup Vans and six motorcycles to cover local government areas.

“It will be easier to cover Kwara North and not only Kwara central and South as it has been.

“With sound vehicles, we can cover all the local governments and bring all the bill boards into the tax net, we will drive the revenue and generate more,” he said.

He also told NNN that the agency had only one rickety Pick up van which the management spent money on every time to make it functional.

The director-general also lamented that the office environment was not conducive for staff to work.

“The roofs are leaking every time it rains and the office lacks good furniture.”

Olufadi called on the state government to intervene and equip the agency with necessary support needed for the staff to deliver their duty effectively.
