Man in court over alleged theft of cow worth N200,000

Ikorodu (Lagos State), Feb. 14, 2019 (NNN) A 56-year-old man, Sulaimon Salawudeen, was on Thursday arraigned in an Ikorodu Chief Magistrates’ Court, Lagos State, over alleged theft of a cow valued at N200,000.
The defendant is facing a two-count charge bordering on felony and stealing, offences he denied committing.
The prosecutor, Sgt. Adegesin Famuyiwa, told the court that the accused committed the alleged offences on Feb.1, at about 7a.m. at Rasco Road, Ikorodu.
Famuyiwa alleged that the accused stole a cow belonging to the complainant, Mr Abubakar Issau.
He said the offences contravened the provisions of Sections 411 and 287of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015 (Revised)..
The Chief Magistrate, Mr E.O. Ogunkanmi, granted the accused bail in the sum of N100, 000, with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case until March 14 for mention. (NNN)
