NASFAT, Fate Foundation train 50 Muslim clerics

Fate Foundation, a non-profit organisation, in partnership with Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT), on Sunday in Lagos trained 50 Islamic clerics on how to be financially independent.

The training, which was aimed at tackling the high rate of unemployment and poverty, was attended by 50 NASFAT imams drawn from across the country.

The Chief Missioner of NASFAT, Imam Abdul-Azeez Onike, said the foundation also provided the needed support required to fully explore their initiatives and potentials as better financial managers.

“Fate foundation whose major aim is to tackle the high rate of unemployment and poverty in Nigeria by harnessing the strong entrepreneurial culture of Nigerians, trained the Imams in area of financial literacy.

“Over 50 members of NASFAT’s top clerical echelon participated in the programme, by unleashing and harnessing the strong entrepreneurial potential of its members for more job creation.

“While positioning itself for empowerment skills and fulfilling its mission, NASFAT has just set up some empowerment schemes for its numerous missioners in agriculture.

“This is being piloted by a government registered cooperative society called GREEN MIGRATION (Agric) cooperative and through other scheme tagged: ‘Missioners in Business Initiative’.

Onike said NASFAT’s mission to develop enlightened Muslim society nurtured by true understanding of Islam for spiritual development and welfare of mankind was in tandem with the mission of Fate Foundation.

Onike thanked the management of the foundation for organising such a training for the mission. (NNN)
