The Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, has assured Nigerians that the National Assembly (NASS) is committed to fight corruption and other vices in the country.

Lawan stated this on the sideline of distribution of empowerment materials by Senator representing Funtua Senatorial Zone, Alhaji Bello Mandiya, in Malumfashi on Monday.

He pledged that the national assembly under President Muhammadu Buhari administration was leaving no stone unturned in the fight against insecurity in the country.

“We are trying our best to revive the economy and fight corruption in the country.

“We are doing our best to also fight unemployment; the only thing we need is prayer to achieve the desired result,” Lawan said.

The Senate President then commiserated with the people and government of Katsina state over the banditry attack on two villages where about 30 people lost their lives.

He prayed for the repose of their souls in the unfortunate incident.

Nigeria News Agency reports that Lawan was among dignitaries that attended the distribution of empowerment materials to constituents by Sen.
