Onah said that the trainings were free.
She said that the small scale enterprise training was to empower women economically as NDE was gender-friendly.
She explained that the training would go a long way in improving the women’s overall quality of life and the economy of the country, as it served as a poverty-reduction tool.
“Under our Small Scale Enterprises Department, we have women employment branch. We teach them how to start and run their businesses successfully.
“We train them on Cosmetology, making them to be able to produce all types of cosmetics. We train them on tie and dye, shoe and bag making, among others,’’ Onah said.
She said that the NDE encouraged everyone, who was interested to come and register for training of her interest so as to contribute to the society.
She called on women, seeking for what to do, to come and take part in the free trainings so that they could have something positive to earn their livelihood.
