IBI Foundation, a non-governmental organisation on Friday, donated relief materials to eight orphanages within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Nigeria News Agency reports that the orphanages include Mother Theresa Children’s Home, Gwarinpa, Treasure Home, Karu, Abuja Children Home, Karu and Treasure  Home, Nyanya.

Others are Al Ansar  Home, Kuje, Amazing Tots, Lugbe, Mrs Bassa Halal Children’s home, Lugbe and School of the Blind, Jabi.

Mr Ibrahim Baba-Inna, the founder of the foundation, said that the gesture was aimed at supporting and providing succor to the less privileged in the FCT.

Baba-Inna added that the foundation recently inaugurated a project named the Orphanage Visit Initiative with the aim to support different orphanages in the country.

“Our aim for the donation is to ensure that no one is left behind as we strive to achieve the sustainable development goals by 2030.

“That is why we are donating these materials to the less privileged in the society and to make them know that they are loved.

“We will also visit other orphanages across the country as we will not limit the gesture to the FCT orphanages alone.

“We have also visited some orphanages in Borno and Adamawa and we intend to go round the 36 states in the country.

“This is part of our outreach project to achieve our orphanage visit initiative recently inaugurated by the foundation,” he said.

NAN reports that items donated include food stuffs, detergents, clothing materials, exercise books, snacks and toiletries.
