Our major initiative is the leprosy project. We try to bring awareness concerning leprosy as many people don’t know this and also to erase the myth concerning leprosy.

“We try to share the plight of the abandoned people living with leprosy. We are here today to give them a spotlight to let them know that having leprosy is not the end of their lives.

“We advocate concerning different issues for them. I have taken the campaign to cater for leprosy in Akwa Ibom and Borno states. We work on their deformity by trying to make sure they have specially made shoes.

” We have also renovated a building that houses 40 of the leprosy people to make life comfortable for them. Our main aim is to be able to make sure people suffering from leprosy comes out of it.

“We are trying to find a way to collaborate with the government and individuals to pull the people and their children out of stigma and give them a new life,” he said.
