The President of Ngadiuba Grassroot soccer project has joined in congratulating Amaju Pinnick on his election into the exalted CAF Executive Committee.
Pinnick, President of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, floored Republic of Benin’s Moucharaf Anjorin in one of the elections at Nelson Mandela Hall at the AU Building in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
‘’We salute his doggedness for standing firm for Ahmad, the Malagasy who beat 71-year-old Issa Hayatou.
‘’The NFF President who becomes the third Nigerian to occupy the CAF Executive slot has shown that he has what it takes to run Nigerian football. That he played such prominent role in the election of Ahmad and the dethronement of Hayatou after 29-years in CAF, shows that Pinnick will bring good fortunes for Nigerian football’’, Paul Ify Ngadiuba, the President/Founder of the Ikwuano-based Grassroot Soccer Project said.

The Nigeria Football Supporters Club has congratulated the President of Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick over his successful election into the CAF Executive Committee. In the elections held in Adis-Ababa, Ethiopia, Pinnick defeated Moucharaf Anjorin of Benin by 32 to 17 votes.
And in the much anticipated election to the exalted CAF presidency seat, new comer, Ahmad of Madagascar beat incumbent Issa Hayatou by 34-20 votes to emerge the new CAF president thus putting a stop to Hayatou’s 29 year reign.
In his reaction, the National Chairman of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club, Rev. Samuel Ikpea described the results as the desire of the African football community for change and align with global trends.
“This is indeed, a testimony of the desire for change. Today, Africa has unanimously chosen to move its football forward in all its ramifications, “Ikpea stated.“
Let me also congratulate our own Amaju Pinnick over his election. This victory, is indeed, a good one for Nigerian football. The supporters club and the whole Nigerian football fraternity hopes that this victory will positively impact on our football, “ he added.
Continuing, he also congratulated Ahmad Ahmad on his election. As he admonished him to embrace all, in the spirit of sportsmanship.
