The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Kwara, says it has deployed 1, 000 corps members for the Nigerian youth walk campaign against corruption.

The state NYSC Coordinator, Mrs Esther Ikupolati, told the Nigeria News Agency on Thursday in Ilorin that corps members were ready for the rally holding on Friday throughout the country.

Ikupolati said that the Corps musical band would play during the rally jointly organised by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and NYSC.

She explained that the rally is billed to start from the EFFC office  in GRA area of Ilorin through Ahmadu Bello Way to Challenge and down to Central Bank.

The coordinator said corps members as youths could be engaged in the anti corruption fight because they were critical stakeholders in the battle

“Corps members are major stakeholders and form the crux of youths in the country, they are everywhere in Kwara and will be able to carry the anti corruption message to the nooks and crannies of the state,” she said.

According to her, the fight against corruption is not for the EFCC and NYSC alone, but a collective responsibility that every Nigerian must be involved.
