The prayer which was presided over by the Secretary of Osun Association of Imams, Imam Abdullahi Olohunlomerue and Prophet Elijah Roberts of C&S Church, Oke-Iro, Ilesha, was hosted by Mr Timothy Owoeye, the Osun 7th Assembly Speaker.
In their separate sermons, the religious leaders urged the state lawmakers to work with love, unity and give the people of the state quality legislation devoid of lies and hatred.
They also reminded the lawmakers that their posts and positions were made possible by God and the people that voted for them to represent them, urging them to always be truthful and give back to the people.
The clerics also prayed for peace in the state and the country.
They equally prayed that the cordial relationship that existed between the executive and legislative arms in the state should continue, so that the people of the state could enjoy the dividend of democracy.
In his appreciation speech, the speaker thanked all his colleagues for a smooth legislative year, saying that the Assembly had been one united family because they understood themselves and operated with love.
He said one of the achievements of the Assembly under his leadership was the passage of eight bills within one year, thanking the executive for the cooperation in making their work smooth.
The Governor, represented by his Deputy, Olugboyega Alabi, felicitated with the lawmakers on their one year anniversary and promised to maintain the good working relationship between the executive and the legislative arms.
