PCC receives 526 complaints in 6 months in Jigawa

The Public Complaints Commission (PCC) Office in Jigawa said it received 526 complaints between January and June 2019.

The commission’s spokesman in the state, Malam Nasiru Abdallahi, made this known to the News Agency of Nigeria in Dutse on Monday.

Abdullahi said 430 of the complaints were resolved, with 183 from public sector and 247 from private sector.

He explained that 96 of the cases were still pending, adding that out of the 96 pending cases, 85 were from the public sector, while 11 came from the private sector.

The spokesman added that the complaints were received from individuals against organizations and vice versa in both public and private sectors in the state.

According to him, the commission would soon resolve the 96 pending cases.

Abdullahi, therefore, warned that the commission would apply legal action against any organization that failed to respect its directives and recommendations.

“Organizations that were not observance to the commission’s directives and recommendations in the course or after investigations are advised to comply before applying legal action against their inactiveness,” Abdullahi warned.
