Munich, Feb. 16, 2019 (Reuters/NNN) U.S. Vice President, Mike Pence, on Saturday pressed European countries to withdraw from a nuclear deal between Iran and major powers.

Pence is an American politician and lawyer serving as the 48th and current Vice President of the U.S., who was previously the 50th Governor of Indiana from 2013 to 2017 and a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from 2001 to 2013.

Pence urged them to also be wary of using telecoms equipment supplied by Chinese provider Huawei.

“The time has come for our European partners to stand with us and with the Iranian people.

“The time has come for our European partners to withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal,’’ Pence told the Munich Security Conference.

According to him, the U.S. has also been very clear with their security partners on the threat posed by Huawei and other Chinese telecom companies.

“We must protect our critical telecom infrastructure and America is calling on all our security partners to be vigilant,’’ Pence noted. (Reuters/NNN)
