People Living with HIV/AIDS to distribute 1000 copies of anti stigma law to Nigerians – Ibrahim

Ibrahim, therefore, said that people living with HIV were normal human beings who had the constitutional right to association, life and coexistence.

“We want to let Nigerians know this in order to avoid wrath of the law in the event of violation.”

The NEPHWAN president, who called for collaboration in the fight against HIV spread, said that about 1.2 million HIV infected persons were on treatment in the country.

He urged Nigerians to continue to support the Network in identifying people living with the virus in order for them to receive treatment.

Ibrahim, who restated the need to put an end to stigmatisation and discrimination, said that identification and treatment were vital in reducing spread of the scourge.
