Rep member warns constituency residents to brace up for tough times

Garba gave the advice in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria NNN in Kafanchan, Southern Kaduna on Tuesday.

It will be recalled that Garba was re-elected to the same position in the Feb. 23 Presidential and National Assembly elections after he defeated Habu Anna of APC by 75,370 votes to 39,407 votes.

Garba said that there was no doubt that the next phase of governance would be tough especially for those in the opposition parties.

He, however, expressed optimism that the impending challenges would be overcome.

“Southern Kaduna has a history of a people who have always triumphed over difficult times, and like our forefathers, we shall surmount the tough and difficult times ahead,” he said.

The legislator, who congratulated all PDP candidates who won the elections, said that the victory was a further confirmation of how deeply rooted the PDP had become in Kaduna South Senatorial District.

He, then, urged youths especially, to rise up to the task of finding their niches in life rather than depend on the government for their livelihood.

He said that the advice became necessary in view of the fact that whatever the government did for the people it would only be a sideshow.
