Lagos, Feb. 7, 2019 (NAN) Busayo Olatunji, the nation’s number-three ranked female squash player says she will focus on combining her education and squash career effectively in 2019.
Olatunji made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos on Thursday.
“I honestly want to focus on these two without any of them suffering for the other, so I hope to focus on the two. I’m actually looking forward to gaining admission into a school.
“I’m looking forward to gaining admission into either University of Lagos or a foreign university; then I’ll focus on squash. I know my game keeps keeping better.
“So right now I’m trying to find a balance. I’m only focused on being a better version of myself; I’m my own competition,’’ she said.
The U-19 champion said that her main focus again was to ensure that she played Professional Squash Association (PSA) organised competitions regularly in order to improve her ranking in the PSA standings.
“I need to improve on my current status in the world ranking, so I’ll keep up training hard. I believe things will keep getting better, ’’she said. (NAN)
