A 38-year-old entrepreneur, Adekunbi Idris, on Friday advised Nigerian women not to belittle any business, but start with the little they have so that the business can grow with time.
Idris, who is into bed sheets sale, told the News Agency of Nigeria that women didn’t need to source for millions or thousands of naira to start any business as they could start with little capital.
The entrepreneur said that she started her bed sheet business two years ago with N26,000 capital in Lagos and had made a success of it so far.
” One of my sisters bought some bed sheets at a time and I liked them, got the contact of the seller who happens to be a wholesaler and seller in retail too. I made inquiries about the business and started off immediately.
The entrepreneur, a mother of two and a graduate of Broadcasting and Communication from the Lagos State University, said that the business was lucrative.
She said that she often gained N42,000 profit monthly after selling 70 sets of bed sheets, adding that she made more sales and profits during festive periods.
