Federal University Gusau gets new registrar

Gusau, Jan. 10, 2019 (NNN) Malam Yakubu Anivbassa has been appointed as the new registrar of the Federal University Gusau (FUGUS), in Zamfara.
FUGUS Information Officer, Malam Umar Usman said in a statement in Gusau on Thursday that the appointment was approved by the Governing Council of the university on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2018.
“Anivbassa came first in the interview conducted by the Governing Council on Dec. 10, 2018 during its 12th meeting,” Usman said.
He is a graduate of Mass Communication from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
Anivbassa obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Administration and a Masters Degree in Public Administration from the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, in 2002 and 2009 respectively.
Before his appointment, he was a Deputy Registrar in the Institute of Development Research and Training, ABU, Zaria.
Anivbassa’s appointment came at the expiration of the five-year tenure of the former registrar, Alhaji Ibrahim Kaura in February 2018.(NNN)
