Makurdi, Feb. 21, 2019 The Tor Tiv, Prof. James Ayatse, on Thursday called on political stakeholders in Nigeria to bequeath leadership positions to the younger generations.

A statement by the Tor Tiv’s Media Assistant, Mr Freddie Adamgbe, in Makurdi revealed that Ayatse said the move would afford youths the opportunity to contribute to the development of the society.

”If they are given leadership responsibilities, it would enable them exhibit their skills and contribute to the development of the society,” he said.

According to the statement, Ayatse made his position known while receiving the Benue State Governorship Candidate of African Democratic Congress (ADC), Mr Simon Korapera, in his palace.

He implored the ADC candidate to stand on the course of truth and peace as he embarked on seeking for votes from the electorate.

He reminded him that leadership come from God and He give it to whoever He wanted.

Earlier, Korapera informed the Tor Tiv that the visit was to seek for royal blessings in order to realise the dream of becoming the next governor of the State.

Korapera stated that his intention was to tackle poverty, hunger and bring transformation that would stand the test of time.

He assured the Tor Tiv of running an all-inclusive and open administration that would be people-driven.
