The United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Tuesday announced 596 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total confirmed cases in the country to 35,788.

The UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention said in a statement the new cases, of many nationalities, are in a stable condition and receiving medical treatment.

Meanwhile, 388 more patients have made full recovery from the virus, taking the tally of the UAE‘s recoveries to 18,726, according to the Ministry.

The Ministry also confirmed three more death, pushing the country’s death toll to 269.

The UAE was the first among the Gulf countries to report COVID-19 cases.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Monday announced 635 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total confirmed cases in the country to 35,192.

A total of 406 more patients have made full recovery from the virus, taking the tally of the UAE‘s recoveries to 18,338, UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention said in a statement.

The ministry also confirmed two more deaths, pushing the country’s death toll to 266.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Saturday announced 726 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total confirmed cases in the country to 33,896.

UAE‘s Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) said in a statement the new cases which include many nationalities are in a stable condition and receiving medical treatment.

It said 449 more patients have made full recovery from the virus, taking the tally of the UAE‘s recoveries to 17,546.

The ministry also confirmed two more deaths, pushing the country’s death toll to 262.

The UAE was the first among the Gulf countries to report COVID-19 cases.

The UAE has been showing solidarity with China in its fight against the novel coronavirus.

On Feb. 2 and March 12, the iconic landmarks in the UAE, including Burj Khalifa in Dubai, were lit up twice in the colors of China‘s national flag to show its solidarity with China.

In late April, the Chinese consulate general in Dubai organized an online conference for Chinese doctors and medical experts to share experiences in preventing and treating the coronavirus with UAE counterparts.

Medical aid from UAE delivered to BiH

A plane from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) carrying medical devices and equipment has landed at the International Airport in Sarajevo, the state-owned media FENA reported on Wednesday.

The shipment consists of 40 medical ventilators and more than 500,000 pieces of various protective medical gears including protective suits, gloves, masks, visors, eyeglasses, according to the report.

Bisera Turkovic, BiH’s minister of foreign affairs, has welcomed and received the shipment at the airport.

Expressing her gratitude for the help, Turkovic said the Council of Ministers of BiH will decide on how to distribute the aid to the medical facilities.

To date, BiH has reported 2,439 cases of COVID-19 infection with 146 deaths.

UAE’s Sharjah ruler pardons 108 prisoners

Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, supreme council member and ruler of Sharjah, has ordered the release of 108 prisoners, according to the official WAM news agency on Sunday.

The clemency was granted to prisoners from punitive and reformative institutions in Sharjah, the third largest city in the United Arab Emirates, on occasion of Eid al-Fitr.

Eid al-Fitr marks the end of the fasting month of Ramadan.
