Lagos, April 16, 2019 The President, Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF), Musa Nimrod, said on Tuesday that the federation was fully prepared to host the 2019 Africa Nations Beach Volleyball Cup Seniors.
The Africa Nations Beach Volleyball Cup Seniors is scheduled to hold from April 21 to April 28 at the Jabi Lake Park, Abuja.
Nimrod told newsmen in Lagos that the nation accepted to host the competition due to it consistency in beach volleyball on the continent.
He said, “I want to tell the world that all is set for Nigeria to host the Africa Nations Beach Volleyball Cup Seniors for both men and women.
“It is also my joy to see Nigeria host an Africa championship because Nigeria has been consistent in beach volleyball for over a decade.”
Nimrod said the federation was working around the clock in order to ensure that the championship was a success.
He said, “Last year, the country hosted the U-21 Africa men’s Championship and we got good commendation from the Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB) for our organisation and attitude toward the growth of developmental programmes.
“This time around, we will not let the African body down.
“I want to thank the President of CAVB, Dr Amr Elwani, for the moral support he has been giving to Nigeria Volleyball.
“I want to assure him that Nigeria will not let Africa down in the age grade tournaments, this year.”
