Zambia, Turkey waive visa requirements for diplomatic passport holders
The move came after completion of internal requirements and procedures by the two governments under the framework of the agreement on mutual abolition of visas for holders of diplomatic passports signed in July 2018.
According to Joseph Chilengi Zambia’s Ambassador to Turkey the visa-free regime for diplomatic passport holders between the two countries marks yet another milestone in the existing warm relations between the two countries.
He further expressed confidence that the move would help increase interaction between the peoples of the two countries and strengthen bilateral relations.
Chilengi added that this was a sign that the memorandum of understandings signed between the two countries in 2018 were now bearing fruits.
“The abolition of visa requirements for diplomatic passport holders between our two friendly countries is exciting.
